Thanks for your posting Sam. I like many of your ideas about involving the class in taste tests.

This week we'll be able to hear all the team project elaborations (revised scenario, budget, prototype/s) which will give us even more ideas in addition to what you've come up with.

After the presentations, the class will brainstorm to refine what the team roles will be and break the roles down into team member tasks. So much of what you've suggested will come alive during class and we'll work together to facilitate this.

Also, I like your idea of Willy Wonka meets Art. We should also discuss this as a possible title.
